1. Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse
Dermalogica Precleanse is a lightweight Olive and Apricot Kernel-based cleansing oil, fortified with Kukui Nut, Borage Seed and Rice Bran oils, that gently liquefies sebum and oil-based debris from the skin's surface. The hydrophilic (water-loving) formula enables Dermalogica PreCleanse and oil-based debris to be readily rinsed away without leaving behind any grease residue.
What we love about it:
- It’s great at dissolving oil-based make up, sebum, sunscreen and environmental pollutants from skin’s surface. Your skin feels really clean after!
- Don’t be fooled by the name cleansing oil, it doesn’t clog your pores and actually removes oil without compromising skin’s natural barrier lipids.
- If you have sensitized skin, it’s great for calming and nourishing the skin because it’s fortified with conditioning essential fatty acids.
How you use it:
- Shake a generous amount of PreCleanse into dry hands and spread between the palms.
- Stroke PreCleanse onto neck, cheeks and then forehead. Starting at the neck, spread PreCleanse across the face by using light, upwards circles with fingertips. Continue by circling chin and cheeks, paying special attention to areas of congestion. Use one fingertip on both sides of the nostril, then circle around the side and top of the nose. Come between the eyebrows and continue circles over forehead, making sure to include the hairline.
- Wet hands and massage over PreCleanse to create a light, milky emulsion.
- Remove PreCleanse by rinsing thoroughly with warm water.
Is it suitable for my skin?
PreCleanse is great for all skin types, including menopausal skin. It does contain nut oil so is not suitable for those with nut allergies or for those with semi-permanent eyelashes, as it can affect the adhesive.
If you are using Pre-Cleanse it is then advised that you use a skin-specific cleanser for your second cleanse
eally helps with the skin’s oil production, replenishing the skin.
