If you've noticed a darkening to your skin, a kind of discoloration or what many call a liver spot, you may well have a condition called hyper pigmentation, or facial hyperpigmentation if it's on your face.
These darker areas, which form a contrast to your lighter skin, can be caused by exposure to ultraviolet light, hormonal changes such as pregnancy (the 'mask of pregnancy') or age - the reasons for a skin pigmentation condition can be varied.
The good news is that the appearance of hyper pigmentation can be reduced, with any darkening of your skin cells, or pigmented skin, made lighter without the use of a harsh bleaching agent, chemical peels or worse!
