So if you're just starting your skincare journey or already have a routine that isn't quite working for you, Dermalogica advise to start with 3 simple steps: PREP, TREAT & GLOW.
1. PREP - To fully clean the skin, to remove impurities, dirt and excess oils in order to prevent future blemishes and allow the following products to work effectively. Dermalogica advocates the Double Cleanse. Start with an oil-based cleanser, such as Pre-Cleanse, then follow with a second, more specific cleanser.
2. TREAT - This is where you can target areas of your skin that are of concern i.e dehydration, fine lines or hyperpigmentation. Toner & Serums are great for this - toners add hydration twice a day and throughout the day with an spritz toner you can apply over makeup, such as Antioxidant Mist Toner. Whilst serums add highly effective ingredients onto the skin to be absorbed deeply into the skin cells, such as antioxidant rich Smart Response Serum.
3. GLOW - Last step is to hydrate, protect and repair to get your skin glowing! Hydrate by adding moisturiser and protect your skin from the elements. Then add SPF, everyday, for protection against the suns UV rays that can cause pigmentation and other skin irritations. Finally whilst your skin is repairing itself whilst you sleep, help it along with a night time treatment, Dermalogica recommends Sound Sleep Cocoon, infused with Lavender to help you get a good nights kip.
