Please Note: Due to the high level of plant-derived ingredients and the complex nature of the UV filters used in this sun-care product, changes in colour are likely to occur during storage. This is entirely normal and whilst ingredients are a creamy-white colour when first manufactured, they can develop a darker, tan shade over time. The rate at which this colour change takes place can be influenced by storage conditions, with warmer temperatures accelerating the process. This change in colour does not affect the UV protection offered by the product. Green People's sun-care products are made with over 80% natural ingredients including a blend of safe, non-toxic filters which ensure that all their sun creams meet European UVA protection standards. Green People take care to ensure that, unlike some chemical UV filters, their effective UV filters do not irritate the skin or harm the environment. However, in some instances the filters they use can stain some fabrics. This staining is irreversible and, for this reason, it is recommended that users take care when wearing white/light fabrics over their sun cream and always allow the sun cream to soak into the skin before applying clothing.
Ethical responsibility is at the heart of what Green People do. They are proud to present this product in fully recyclable, renewable sugar cane packaging. This renewable raw material is planted far from any areas of rainforest, on land that is deemed of inferior quality for food production. Using this degraded pasture land helps soil to recover for future use as farmland. Making the move away from fossil fuels is not where the benefits of Sugar Cane end. Whilst the plant is being cultivated, it captures CO2 so efficiently that Sugar Cane plastic is actually a carbon negative product. For every kg produced, 3.09 kgs of CO2 is removed from the air. Green People’s sun lotions and shampoos are the first to feature this new packaging, with the brand looking to switch packaging where possible to recycled or renewably sourced material by 2022.
